Agunbiade IS an ICON of Excellence -- Opinion poll
Stakeholders in Eti-Osa East Local Government of Lagos State have described the Council Chairman Hon. Samson Agunbiade as an ICON of Excellence in the State.
Speaking at the gathering to celebrate the Chairman on his one hundred days anniversary held at the Sangotedo Council Secretariat, lots of people lauded the chairman at the event for laying down solid legacy within one hundred days in office.
According to one of the leaders of the party, Hon. Noheem Adams, stated that Hon. Agunbiade was an ICON of excellence, considering level of the work done by his administration within 100 days in office.
He explained that with the little resources within the disposal of the local government, records showed that, a lot of developmental initiatives he had put in place, such as rehabilitation of public schools and coupled with other social amenities that are still ongoing.
He identified the Chairman as an easy going politician, who was not power drunk but very humble and always heeding to recommendations and suggestions from critical stakeholders in the local government.
In an address delivered by the Eti-Osa East number one man, Hon Samson Agunbiade, stated that he has determined to fulfill his campaign promises to the electorates through projects and laudable programs that will have direct impact on the people.
He maintained that projects commissioned under 100 days in office were just tip of the iceberg as his administration is fully committed to undertake more developmental projects that would cut across all the wards in the local government.
He pointed out that the Local Government is a grassroots government that is constitutionally empowered to put smile on the faces of the people at the grassroots, adding that he would continue to toe this line in order to continue to promote the ideals of the party.
He enumerated some of his programs which included, renovations of public schools, free summer lessons for the pupils, environmental sanitation, youth empowerment and the donation of transformer to all wards in the local government.
He added that the Local Government had empowered security agencies with the required gadgets they need to function properly in the effective discharge of their security duties.
In his words of assurances he pledged not to disappoint the people, saying his administration would continue to fulfil its campaign promises to the electorates.
In his message of hope to youth in the Council Area,he stated that quality program would be designed to economically empower the youth and give them a brighter and rewarding future.
